You might think she is a special case because she is white, middle class, and has parents who could work out how to keep interest up. Oh, and she went missing in a holiday resort where the locals are probably worried about the tourist trade.

Whatever the case a family has lost their 4 year old daughter. I can't possibly imagine what it must be like to have this happen to either of my daughters, and whilst I don't know much detail of the case they have my absolute sympathy. For what it's worth I can see neither motive nor opportunity for the parents to be guilty.

Some get read. But comments and subscribers are where the fun is! Knowing someone is coming back to read your blog, or is interested enough to actually make the effort to add their own thoughts to what you've posted.

Regarding maddy... I don't read the news, I don't watch the news, or listen to it. I find that most news programmes are too depressing. If something is important enough to know about it, the news will get to me somehow.

Anyway, I'm apparantly one of the cold heartless bunch who doesn't care overly about maddy, thousands of children go missing each and every day, but their parents don't have the dough to make sure it's known about on every news front.

Not to say I don't hope she's found. Nothing would be better than her being found. But I fail to see why she's such a special case.

I guess people do read them. They're not all diaries - mine is not nor a good % of the few I've read. I'm new to this too so don't know what the deal is with making comments about criminal investigations - I would expect the libel laws still apply.
